WORLDWIDE AIRCRAFT RECEIVES CERTIFICATION FOR SAAB 340B MTOW INCREASE 2020

Springfield, MO – February 1, 2021 – Worldwide Aircraft Services, Inc., working with SAAB AB through a jointly signed license agreement, has secured the exclusive rights to the sale of the new service bulletin to increase the maximum design takeoff weight (MTOW) for the Saab 340B aircraft to 30,000 lbs (13605 kg).

The SAAB MTOW service bulletin kit that has now been approved by FAA and EASA will further improve the operational flexibility of the Saab 340B aircraft (with SB SAAB 340-51-10 compliance) by increasing the operational weight 1000 lbs (454 kg).

This increased takeoff weight offers, no direct, changed to the cabin, or cargo loading weights; but is designed to provide the operator with the ability to always maximize payload, to offer, increased range, and or the flexibility to tanker fuel.

“All operations, be at passenger, freighter, or special mission flights can use a few additional pounds, and this service Bolton will allow just that, reducing mission requirements of trading fuel for payload, or limiting range,” said, Dave Vorbeck of worldwide aircraft services.

Vorbeck added, “it is always good partnering with SAAB on programs designed to improve the 340 fleet, and this maximum takeoff weight increase is really a great product for extending the life and improving the flexibility of the 340B aircraft.”

This modification will offer all operators of the 340 B model aircraft increase profitability through maximizing, payload, increasing range, and limiting high cost remote fuel requirements. The service bulletin installation can be accomplished by the operator, and will be offered with volume discounting for larger fleets.
